Black Dog Blades began with a bar of steel, an angle grinder and a forge dug into a hill. After years of shaping, grinding, and testing, each knife is still made by hand and brought into existence with the same attention and care as the very beginning.

I began making knives in late 2015 after seeing a knife on Instagram that I loved. In my opinion however, the knife would look better with a few small changes. With no way to purchase a knife that fit my vision, I set off to make it.
After years of experimenting, testing, forging and grinding, my taste and ability level is continually evolving. And although I never made the knife that set me down my path, I strive for an ideal and hope to bring that product to you.
